Recruitment process for Group B- The major selection process for this group category is based upon the primarily based process which is done for more than 50% of the candidates and the remaining candidates are selected through the Limited Department Competitive Examination is also known as LDCE selection process. These groups officers are the ones which are promoted from Group C recruits and they are eligible because they have a graduation degree from recognized university or institute.
Recruitment process for group C- This category has a large number of candidates who appear for the examination as the posts are offered on numerous designations. The railway publishes the required qualification for group C which is a candidate must have passed their 12th with at least 50% of marks or have graduated with the same scoring marks from a recognized university. This group consist of 2 categories which are Technical and Non-Technical The technical category mainly consists of Civil, Electrical and telecommunication signal etc. posts whereas the non-technical category consists of Assistant Station master, Clerks, Ticket collectors, Traffic Apprentice etc.
